Studio general policies:
Age requirement: Our DIY sessions are generally designed for ages 10 and up. To ensure the well-being, safety and quality of experience for all guests, our studio is strictly reserved for individuals 10 years of age and older. We have established this requirement to maintain a professional, focused atmosphere and to ensure that all participants can safely and effectively engage with our equipment and environment.
Customers under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entirety of the activity.
The staff at kawaii diy studio are not responsible for any children left unattended in the area of the store and shopping plaza.
Guest & Seating Policy:
To ensure all our creators have a comfortable space to work, seating is reserved exclusively for those participating in a DIY project.
Non-Participants: 2 guests per group permitted depending on seat availability. Additional Guests (Up to 5 total) : (3rd, 4th, and 5th) are subject to a $30 fee per person.
Groups of 6 or More: To ensure safety and comfort, groups with more than 5 non-participants are required to book a Private Event. Please refer to our [Private Events Page] for more details!
Pro-Tip: The best way to enjoy the studio is to join the fun! Pick any DIY project and your seating is always included.
All charm numbers listed on the website/in store are a MAXIMUM, not a requirement. All charms used must be for the current project and cannot be taken home.
Extra charms unused within the limit of charms for each item, which are NOT returned to kawaii diy studio, will be charged $5.
Decoden cream glue remaining after project completion are not permitted to be taken home. We do not sell take-home kits.
Large Group & Party Policy (5+ Non-Participants)
We love a big celebration! However, to keep our studio safe and comfortable for all creators, we have special guidelines for larger groups of non-participating guests:
Capacity Limit: For the safety of our staff and guests, we can only accommodate a maximum of 5 non-participating guests per standard reservation.
Large Group Fee: Groups with more than 5 non-participants are required to book a Private Event Package. Please refer to Private Events page for details.
Standing Room: Our studio layout is optimized for DIY-ing! Groups with non-participants may be asked to remain in designated standing areas to keep the "creation zones" clear for our artists.
The "Join In" Rule: Since we are a DIY Studio, we find that parties are much more fun when everyone creates! We highly recommend choosing a DIY project for your guests to guarantee them a seat and the full Kawaii experience.
Store Property
Customers are responsible for any damage to store property (including, but not limited to, display art pieces, furniture, materials, tools, or fixtures of any kind) resulting from improper use and will be held accountable for damage.
Food and Drink
To avoid getting oils, crumbs, and stains on your project, damaging your artwork, and maintaining a clean environment for all customers, any food is not permitted.
Capped drinks are allowed but MUST be placed and left on the designated drink cart. If drinks are spilled and damage any property, the customer responsible will incur a fee.
No Sexual Content or Behavior
We do not allow any sexual content, themes, or behavior—whether verbal, physical, or included in any projects done at kawaii diy studio. This includes but is not limited to:
Inappropriate or suggestive language
Explicit imagery or symbols
Sexualized artwork/designs/projects
This policy helps ensure that our studio remains a welcoming space for all ages and backgrounds. Anyone violating this rule may be asked to leave the studio or have their content removed, and WILL be restricted from participating in future events or purchases.
No drugs or alcohol
To maintain a safe and positive environment, the use or presence of drugs, alcohol, or related paraphernalia is strictly prohibited at all times.
Guests under the influence will be asked to leave immediately
No substances may be brought into or consumed in the studio
Disruptive or unsafe behavior will result in removal and future restrictions.
Cleanliness
A $5 will be administered for any extremely messy mats/tables. This applies for situations such as, but not limited to, getting deco cream everywhere in excess amounts, using excess amounts of small unlimited charms (located on each table) and getting them all over the work mats, etc.
As the health of our customers and staff is a top priority of ours, kawaii diy studio reserves the right to ask any individual to leave if there are any symptoms of COVID-19, the flu, and other airborne illnesses. Let’s all work together to maintain a cute and healthy space for everyone. ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )
Staff Responsibilities:
Staff at kawaii diy studio are only responsible for providing basic informational assistance related to activities at the studio.
Customers are responsible for their own creative decisions made on projects
kawaii diy studio cannot be held responsible for customer’s dissatisfaction with their product caused by personal decisions. Outcomes can and will vary.
Product Satisfaction
kawaii diy studio is not responsible for any product dissatisfaction due to reasons of:
Customer’s own creative decisions
Customer’s incorrect product use
Customer’s own aesthetic preferences or subjective expectations
By entering the studio and participating in projects, customers understand that all items are handmade via the customer themselves and outcomes may vary.
Media
kawaii diy studio reserves the right to photograph or record any activities in the studio or final products upon receiving verbal consent from customers. We reserve the right to use this media for purposes such as social media or marketing.
